Data we collect
Account details you provide when registering or booking: name, email, phone number, and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text).
Reservation details: room, dates, guest count, and any special requests you add (for example, your expected arrival time).
Payment declaration details you submit after booking: payment method, amount, an optional reference, and an optional proof-of-payment file (for example, a mobile money confirmation screenshot). We never see or store your card number, mobile money PIN, or banking credentials - payment itself happens directly between you and your bank, MTN, or Orange, entirely outside the site; you simply tell us afterward that you paid.
Messages you send us directly by email or WhatsApp.
Why we use it
To create and manage your account, process your reservations and payment declarations, and respond to your enquiries.
Legal basis
Performance of the contract between you and Luna Lodge for your account and reservations, and your consent for messages you send us directly by email or WhatsApp.
Retention
Account data: for as long as your account stays open, then deleted once you close it - see "Your rights" below for how.
Reservation and payment records: for the period required by Cameroonian accounting and tax record-keeping rules after your stay, then deleted.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data, and we never share it with a payment processor - as explained above, payment happens directly between you and your bank or mobile money provider, outside the site. Your data is only ever accessible to Luna Lodge staff who need it to manage your reservation, and to Pisoft Lite as the site's technical operator, strictly to keep the site running (see our legal notice).
Cookies
The site sets two strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. Both are httpOnly (inaccessible to page scripts) and expire automatically - after 15 minutes and 30 days respectively. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and no data is shared with any ad or tracking network.
External links
Once your stay is over, your account area shows a link to our Google Business listing so you can leave a review. Clicking it takes you off our site: Google then handles your data under its own privacy policy, separate from ours.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can review and update your account details from your account page, and request deletion of your account and its data from there as well - see our account deletion flow for how that works.
